We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Friend,

On Sunday July 18th 2010 Mark Wallis and four friends will aim to cycle around The Derbyshire Peak District.

This challenge on behalf of a fantastic charity will involve a 70 mile up and down dale bike ride for each of our five man team, and take approximately 8 Hours to complete. We will start at Ashbourne 8.30am and Cycle to to Buxton  via the Tissington Trail, from there we will then cycle the High Peak Trail to its finish just outside Matlock. We will then reverse our trail and return to Ashbourne via Buxton and both Trails, this will then complete our required distance,by around 5.00pm.

Our Team:

Mark Wallis :Manager PTS Aldridge

Alan Harris : Quality Manager Metsec PLC

Adam Rochelle : Asst Manager PTS Aldridge

Ryan Hardware : Assistant PTS Aldridge

Martyn Rochelle : Metallurgist Castings PLC

We are hoping to raise £3500,for our nominated charity the NSPCC.In 2008 we raised £2800,walking 25 miles from Tamworth to Aldridge, and in 2009 we raised £4100,climbing Mount Snowdon via the awesome Crib Goch, all made possible by the generous sponsorship offered to our challenges.

The NSPCC is the UK's leading charity specialising in child protection and the prevention of cruelty to children. The NSPCC has a vision as indeed my team do of a society where all children are loved, valued and able to fulfil their potential. The NSPCC also provide a 24-Hour Child Protection Line that provides advise and counselling to anyone concerned about a childs safety.

The NSPCC would not exist without  generous supporters as 83% of their income comes from donation and sponsored events like the Derbyshire Peaks Bike Challenge.

Thank You for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, together we can make a differance and any support you may be able to give would be hugely appreciated
