My story

I'm currently undergoing treatment at Glasgow's excellent Beatson for a brain tumour known as a glioblastoma.

I've been blogging fairly irreverantly at www.puregns.co.uk about the whole experience since November 2011, because no-one seems to want to have a laugh about cancer any more.

If you like the blog - and an increasing number of people seem to - then please show your appreciation by sending the Beatson some money.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

My updates 2

Thanks to Gael and Robert McMahon for donating the £200 which would have been spent on favours for their wedding. All the best to the happy couple.

Thanks to the Herald & Times Staff Benevolent Fund for their donation of £500 towards the Beatson.
