We provide help & support to the TMBU & PRH to help save more babies lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are very excited to be doing our 4th Push for Prems, and want to thank everyone for helping us raise so much in the past years, we are so grateful. This year we have decided to split our amounts raised between TMBU and Ronald Mcdonald charity House which is situated across the road from the hosiptal! without the help from the house so many families would be lost. It really does help families that are further away from home, giving them a home from home environment whilst being able to be there for there poorly babies.

We also want to ask you all to invite as many friends and family along to this wonderful event, this event is for anyone that has experienced having a poorly/premature baby and want to give something back to TMBU/Ronald Mcdonald. Wether you have stayed at the hospital just for one night or many months, all is welcome.

The Trevor Mann Baby Unit, a place so close to many of our hearts. I write this holding back the tears as i remember our journey of having a premature baby, we have met so many wonderful people along our way who have shared the highs and the almighty lows of our experience and their own!

We cried, we laughed and we lived in fear of our babies lives.
The parents, friends and relatives of babies that were born prematurly and spent at least their first 3 months in neonatal intensive care are going to be raising money for the Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton, we aim to raise enough money to buy vital equipment, without this we can definately say our babies would not have survived!
We owe so much to the staff, they have saved our babies lives, kept our spirits up when our babies were undergoing major surgery, and supported those of us that have lost babies through prematurity.
These little ones are miracles and really have been through so much, numerous bowel operations, hernia operations, laser eye surgery, lumbar puntures, day to day blood tests, constant canulars and countless amount of blood transfusions! Crazy to imagine when you could fit them in the palm of your hand! some of these babies were born as small as 1lb.

We will be meeting outside The Royal Sussex County Hospital at 10am on 21/07/2013 and taking part in a push for prem walk with our babies to Hove lagoon where we will meet for a picnic. We ask for a small fee of £1 to take part that goes towards our final amount raised. What a fantastic way to see how far these amazing strong babies have come.

In memory of Georgia kimberly Woolmer Robertson born 2/07/2009 lived for 8 hours weighing a tiny 1lb, Ezma Demir born 2/08/2008 lived for 54 minutes weighing 1lb 6oz, Alifie Robert Da Silva born 23/07/2009 lived 13 days. Lily-Rose Kyriacos born sleeping 17/01/2007 weighing 1lb 2oz. Charlie Jack Gates 1/10/2006 - 4/10/2006. Rosa Mae Coku born 1/06/2009 at 16.40 hrs and lived for 1hour 20 minutes weighing 420 grammes.

So please dig deep and donate, it means so much to so many of us.
