Friends and family will push me in my wheelchair over a 10km route around Lichfield. Some will walk just 1km, others will walk the full 10km. There is no way I could cover even a fraction of this distance under my own steam so I'm relying on volunteers to get me around the course.
I have an illness called ME/CFS . This illness has devasted my life, leaving me debilitated, disabled, unable to work and pretty much housebound.
My condition means I can't run a marathon or do a skydive to fundraise. So I'm asking for help. Help to be pushed over the 10k and help to raise funds for much needed research into this illness.
Sitting in the wheelchair while being pushed might not sound like hard work but for me it will be a huge effort. Due to ME/CFS I am mainly housebound and when I do go out it requires careful planning or my condition can be worsen very easily.
I'll be documenting what happens on the day and keeping you all informed through live updates via social media.
