The Stroke Association - London to Paris Bike Ride · 4 September 2008 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Hi there and thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

In September, we'll be participating in the Stroke Associations London - Paris charity bike ride. A small challenge of 244 miles in 3 days.

Every year, an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. Anyone can have a stroke, including children and even babies.

A stroke is the third most common cause of death in the UK. It is also a leading cause of severe adult disability. More than 250,000 people live with disabilities caused by stroke.

We're sure you'll agree this is an extremley worthwhile cause.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Stroke Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
