Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be running 10 miles in Oct 2010 to raise money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth. You can find out more about them here. They really do a fantastic job and I know so many families are greatful to them.
Our son spent some time in the NICU having been born at 33 weeks in Jan 2010. Without their expert knowledge, dedicated care and invaluable support our baby boy may not be here today. It's every parent's worse nightmare for their child to be ill, especially when it's their newborn, fresh into the world. The Drs, nurses and all the support staff give these special little ones such amazing care under such challenging circumstances and all funds raised really will help not only the babies but the parents and families also. For the families, parents in particular, it is a rollercoaster journey, one that takes a lot of support - something that the staff put great emphasis on. There's no better reason to donate than to think of all the success stories from babies who have journeyed through the NICU and the many that are to follow.
