We believe that no one should be excluded from the life-changing benefits of community sport. We support community sports clubs, organisations, coaches and volunteers to provide inclusive inclusive sports offers, helping change the lives of underserved young people in their local community.

Story

Hi - as you know, I am a Trustee of Access Sport and from time to time do bizarre things in their name.

Access Sport is a great little charity founded in 2004 whose mission is to give more children, particularly in disadvantaged areas, access to a wide range of quality local sport. Basically we use your money (as well as GSK's, Lloyds of London and ELBA, amongst others) to empower community volunteers who set up and run local sports clubs with cash, expert advice and networking. In 2009 we impacted on over 100 clubs, providing access to 20+ different sports for 16,000 odd kids - so we get stuck in!

Go have a look www.accesssport.co.uk.

Anyway, back to me, me, me - this time its a 1000 mile bike ride with 73,000 ft of climb over 9 days or something like that. I've been training since Saturday and think it should be OK as long as the prevailing wind changes from SW to NE and someone gives me a push up the hills - should be fine going down.

So, before our political masters relieve you of any more money please help Access Sport to help get kids off the street, enaged, fit and happy. 10p per mile should do it!

Cheers
