We did it!

UPDATE

Thank you to everyone who took part in Sam's Race! 

We had a great time over the week conquering peaks, dips, flat boring bits, hilly undulating bits, not to mention scary wet and dark bits of Yorkshire!

We were blessed with the most amazing participants ever who came together to make the event very special and in memory of a wonderful lady.

We received some fantastic publicity via the BBC, ITV and Yorkshire Evening Post with grateful thanks to our Patrons Sir Ian Botham and Trevor Cherry who set us on our way with the Lord Mayor of Leeds.

We are organising a huge 400 mile relay race around the boundary of Yorkshire and need 500 participants to help us achieve this.  The race will begin in Leeds on Monday 16th June and will end, back in Leeds on Friday 20th June 2008. 

Andrea's Gift Patron and President Sir Ian and Lady Botham will be there to start the event.

The event is in memory of a beautiful young woman called Samantha Bate who died in 2006 aged 27 from a very aggressive brain tumour.  Sam was an inspiration to all who met her and her family and friends are determined that her memory will be preserved in the most positive way.
