Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Yup... I couldn't resist the temptation... I've not only reached for it and dusted it off... But I've re read it... And started to dream... And everyone that knows me won't be surprised to hear what's going to happen next...
Those that followed my last crazy journey across Alaska, Canada and The USA in 2009 will know that, far from getting my "wanderlust" out of my system - those 12,107 miles merely left me wanting more !!
Far from feeling thankful it was all over, since it's conclusion, I've been longing to kick off another daft adventure. And having tried to ignore the shelf on my "den's" bookcase where the aborted Round The World Trip Plan has sat I'm afraid to say I have succumbed !!
Racey is going Round The World in 2011... And I'm back on the charity crusade again too...
As many may recall, my wife benefitted tremendously from the assistance of Breast Cancer Care's outstanding work when she was diagnosed in 2005. At that point we vowed we would do all we could to repay them. She became an Ambassador for the charity and I said I would do something to raise well deserved funds at some point...
Although I was thrilled with the amount I raised by riding across The USA I recognise Breast Cancer Care's work is ceaseless...
So... So must mine be !!
To explain briefly, from April 2011 I will be riding almost 20,000 miles from London across Eastern Europe, The Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, South Korea, Canada and The United States to New York again...
I will be paying every single one of the costs I incur. Fuel, bike shipping, accommodation, servicing and incidental costs incurred along the way. Therefore, if you choose to support me you can be safe in the knowledge that I will be passing on every single penny that I raise to charity.
If you want to read more about the planning and preparation for this daft adventure do look at www.moto-mondo.net
Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Breast Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you.

All long distance journeys are tough... And this one is going to have many challenges along the way...
Not only is the total riding distance going to be close to 20,000 miles, but considerable distances are going to be on tough, often un finished, dirt roads !
Once out of Europe there will be "highlights" to be faced such as:
The Road of Death in Kazakhstan
The immense and barren Kazakh Steppe
The Wilderness of Mongolia
The rigours of The Pamir Highway as it hugs the Afghan border
The vast and seemingly endless Russian Taiga (woods & swamps)
and, of course, the Trans Siberian Highway
But compared to the difficulties faced by the sufferers and their families of illnesses such as Breast Cancer the troubles I will encounter will be insignificant...
Which is why I ask you to help as best you can... I am doing what I can...
Can you please sponsor me to help ?
