Welcome to the JustGiving Website for Lucknow Platoon's Charity Event, RACE TO INDIA!

Between the 3rd and 27th of November, Lucknow Platoon has covered a staggering 7231km from Lucknow (RMAS) to Lucknow (India) to raise funds towards the RMAS Commandant's Charity, Help for Heroes.

To cover this epic distance, the cadets of Lucknow Platoon combined distances from CV equipment in the gym, Swimming, the Athletics Track and Tabbing. However, cadets were only allowed to count the mileage during normal rehabilitation lessons, Monday to Friday!

Did you know? The dates have been selected to coincide with the 1857 second relief of Lucknow, India by Sir Colin Campbell who moved the injured soldiers and civillians from the seiged Lucknow to the area of Kanpur.

The race is finished! Lucknow Platoon has successfully achieved 7231km in 19 days, cumulating on the final day with the platoon out in force in the gymnasium doing a round-robbin of CV equipment in teams!
