For one weekend in September, I will be taking part in what I hope will be the best weekend! In order to raise money for the British Red Cross I am taking part in a Disaster Management Weekend. The British Red Cross Emergency Response Unit will lead us through a mock disaster, teaching us about the logistics, communications, security involved in handling the situation in the aftermath of a catastrophe.
The British Red Cross and the Emergency Response Unit give aid and support to a variety of people all over the world, and they need to raise funds in order for this standard of care to continue. The ERU have been deployed to places like Sri Lanka and Indonesia following the Tsunami, and also to the States providing support after Hurricane Katrina. The work they do is invaluable, so please show me and The British Red Cross YOUR support by sponsoring me for this weekend.
