My story

Despite being the person who would hide during PE to avoid doing exercise, I am running the Virgin London Marathon with my sister to raise money for Heart Research UK in memory of my lovely dad. He was only 55 when he died from a heart attack.

Did you know that every two minutes in the UK someone suffers a heart attack? Heart Research UK are currently working on a blood test which will identify people at risk.

Justgiving is a really easy way to donate some money (£1 or £100, your donation amount is hidden, so you don't have to worry if you can't afford to give a lot!).

If you haven't seen it, I have a blog at http://www.marathonmummy.com where you can keep up with my training, and remind yourself that running a marathon is only for the completely deranged.

You can also sponsor me in person, but the good news is donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. Heart Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
