My story

 

I know many of you never in your wildest dreams thought you would see the day I would challenge myself to do a 13.1 mile run, I would struggle to run to the pub for a nice chilled pint of Peroni less than 12 months ago, but I thought why not ?!? Nothing is impossible!!!!


Of course I am beginning to realise what I am letting myself in for as I have been doing some training over the last few months which has been a complete shock to the system and I have lost weight, toned up and I am loving the results!!


My chosen charity is Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity, the official charity of the Queen Elizabeth & Selly Oak hospitals in Birmingham, including the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine where UK military patients are treated from around the world. The charity provides extra equipment, research and facilities that are over and above that provided by the NHS.
