<p>I was really lucky to gain a place in the London Marathon through the general ballot and while on maternity leave for all but three weeks of training, its an opportunity I could not miss.</p> <p>For a while I really wasn't keen to push my body with all the training required but with the help and support of my lovely husband doing lots of babysitting and a friend from running club motivating me all the way - here I am! Luca is now nearly 9 months old and I'll be really proud of my achievement&nbsp;after completing&nbsp;26.2 miles on Sunday April 17th!!</p> <p>I am raising money for the National Autistic Society which provides&nbsp;support for people with autism and Asperger syndrome and their families.
