Story
On the 31st of May 2009 I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon, yes all 26 miles of it, in aid of the David Sheldrick Wildlife trust. The trust is involved in rescueing orphaned elephants and rhino in Kenya and is a charity very close to my heart. It was set up by Dame Daphne Sheldrick in memory of her husband who did a great deal for conservation in Kenya. The trust does great work including hand-rearing and then releasing the orphans back into the wild as well as running anti-poaching patrols and veterinary units in Tsavo national park.
This marathon is going to be a mission! I've never done anything like this before and it may be one of the hardest things I ever do so please make it worth it by helping me raise lots of money for this charity.
Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated as funds are always needed to help save the orphaned young.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
