I've always said I would run a marathon in my lifetime, and I can't think of better motivation than to raise money for Princess Alice Hospice who looked after Dad recently.

Dad braved a relatively short battle with skin cancer and the Hospice were involved from quite an early stage and looked after him and the extended family from beginning to end, at home and in the hospice. Nothing was too much trouble. Their amazing staff and facilities, eased some of the stress for us all. 

Working in a busy hospital environment normally, I can truly appreciate how lucky we were to have Princess Alice coordinating Dad's end of life care. So I want to give something big back by doing the London Marathon (And beat Dad's marathon time in the process...!).

So please donate what you can for an excellent cause that is very close to my heart.
