Its finally over!! I've completed my third and last (until the next time) London Marathon with a new PB of 3.38.16, so I'm absolutely thrilled!! I've promised that I'm hanging up my trainers (well for marathons anyway). The race was hard of course, but I bumped into one of the other Cats Protection team members at the start, which was great and gave me a boost. The support from the crowd was fantastic throughout the race, especially in Docklands and the final two miles. A huge thank you to my die-hard supporters - Ian, Sharon, Helen, Rita, Jinks, and the four kiddies Charlotte, Georgina, Ellie and Rosie - who braved absolutely awful weather conditions, and got soaked through. In addition, a big thank you to the supporters from Cats Protection, who were between the 22nd and 23rd mile, cheering our team on exactly when it was needed. I am still a little short of my fundraising target of £1200, so now is the time to get giving! Your support is invaluable to Cats Protection, who rely on donations to continue their work, particularly given that they are one of the smaller charities represented in the London Marathon, with only a few running places. Thanks once again to everyone for all your support. Signing off for this year! Rachel
