Dear All,
On June 11th I cycle to Paris from London (well Croydon). It will be over the course of 4 days. I will hate it; that is guaranteed. It is in aid of the London Air Ambulance. I'm getting very worried now, think I'll make it but I know it'll be agony. First day of 70 miles ok, next day at 90 miles ouch, and then the third day and then the fourth...
The London Air Ambulance ( based at the Royal London Hospital in Mile End) manages to run it's life saving service with charitable donations of £750,000 per year. It is unique in being the only air ambulance in the UK that takes a doctor straight to the victim of an accident. The team saves many lives. One mission costs around £1,650. The work that London Air Ambulance does is invaluable. In recent years I've been made very aware of the work they do, how essential they are in London, and the difference they make.
I will be cycling with my bestest friend Ju. I'm not sure if that is a help or a hindrance. However if you also know him ( please accept my condolences :-)), and maybe consider splitting you donation between us. We're both doing the cycle for different charities.
Thanks very much!
Rachel.
P.S. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: London's Air Ambulance will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
