Kidney Wales is the leading kidney charity in Wales. We are here to support patients and their families, promote excellence in kidney research, education, and treatment within Wales.

Story

The Paris Marathon is on the 5th April 2009, it will be my first marathon and special as I was due to run it with my Dad. Both me and Dad were members of the Village Vipers running club, although I have only been running more seriously for 6 months, my Dad had enjoyed running for 30 years and ran his first marathon in the early 80's.

Our first race together was the Cardiff 10 K in sept 2008 which was for the Donate Wales. We both liked that campaign set up by kidney wales and decided after long talks on various runs that we would choose Kidney Wales as our charity to raise money for in the Paris Marathon.

My dad sadly passed away suddenly in January and I have felt passionately that I want to finish my first marathon that I had planned to run with him.

As a junior doctor working at the Heath (UHW) I am working with the renal unit. Both me and my father were impressed and felt strongly about this cause, the wide range of people it can help and the fact it is a local cause.

Please support my efforts by helping me help kidney patients across Wales who depend on Kidney Wales Foundations life saving work.
