Hi there, I case you haven't heard I completed my first marathon in Paris on 6th April in a respectable time of 4.07 without blisters or chaffing. The preparation in my Aberdeenshire training camp was clearly effective. A big thank you to 'the team' and all of you who had a positive thought for me on the 6th. Thanks to everyone that's donated so generously, look at what you've helped to achieve!! I've been running for years but my head always told me that 26.2 miles was too difficult. I once ran 17 miles and adding another 9 was unimaginable. This year my measure of difficult was challenged when my extended family were faced with the shocking diagnosis of Huntington's disease. Anyone with legs that will run when their brain tells them to is very lucky. Before and after diagnosis the Huntington's Disease Association have been increadily supportive to the family when the rest of us have struggled to know how to help. They will continue to be there. For those of you who are old fashioned and pay up after the event is completed it's time to cough up! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Huntington's Disease Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
