I did it!

5 hours and 21 minutes of hard graft and I eventually got round the course.

It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The crowd spurred me on every inch. And it didn't hurt nearly as much as I imagined.

If you have ever even considered running a marathon, make sure you do it before you shuffle off this mortal coil. It's a fabulous challenge to complete.

Another plus is that I have managed to raise lots of money for Barnardos. Thanks to Eric and Margaret for all their efforts offline and to everyone who has donated here.
