<p>&nbsp;</p> <div style="background-color: #ffffff;"> <div> <p class="MsoNormal" style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Over a casual pub lunch in December I was asked by a friend, if I could swim...the next thing I know I have been persuaded to sign up for a one mile swim in the River </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Thames</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">...one led to another and then there were three.</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">So this summer I will be swimming three one mile open water swims, the first in London on the 26th May, the second in Lake Windermere on 22nd June and the third one in Strathclyde Loch near Glasgow on 25th August.</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">There are two challenges involved for me, the first being that I haven't swum properly for years so I am currently training hard which is somewhat taking over my social life and the second that I have always been terrified of swimming in anything other than a swimming pool, this is going to be the far bigger challenge for me, but one that I hope will become slightly easier with each swim!</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">I am going to be raising money for Plan UK, the charity that I have worked for for the past 3.5 years, and your donations will go towards our girls fund, part of our 'Because I am a Girl' campaign.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">75 million girls worldwide are denied an education, this campaign aims to ensure that girls in the worlds poorest countries can access a quality education-Plan&rsquo;s Girls Fund aims to support millions of girls to realise their rights and fulfill their potential.
