Thank you for visiting my fundraising page :-) I am very excited to be running the NYC marathon and raising money for the Prostate Cancer Charity and really appreciate your support.
The NYC Marathon is the biggest marathon in the world with some 42,000 people running last year. The logistics alone are enough to get the knees shaking. The 26.2 mile race covers all 5 New York boroughs, starting on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge from Staten Island, via Brooklyn and Queens before closing with the famous run down from The Bronx into Upper Manhattan and Central Park.
I have many reasons for undertaking this ridiculous challenge - it is a fantastic challenge both physically and mentally, we will raise a significant amount of money for a very worthy charity, it will be an experience of a lifetime, it will be FUN and of course... we get to go to New York to do it!!!
