Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On Sunday 22 May I will be attempting my first triathlon: swimming for 750m ( just under half a mile) in a lake, cycling for 20K (12 miles), then running for 5k (3 miles). All this will take place in the beautiful surroundings of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, though I'm not sure I'll have much time to enjoy the views!
I hope to complete the course in around two hours, though I really have no idea how my body will hold out! I imagine that my legs may be a little wobbly for the run, but as long as they get me over the finish line I'll be thrilled.
To help spur me on to the finish line I will be raising money for Terrence Higgins Trust, a charity I have worked for for nearly four years and which I think is fantastic.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. The money goes directly into Terrence Higgins Trust's bank and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax can be added to your gift at no cost to you through the Gift Aid scheme (you can ask me for more information about this). Terrence Higgins Trust is a wonderful charity, and all the money raised will go towards providing services and assistance to people in the UK affected by HIV and AIDS. A huge 'thank you' for supporting me and helping me to raise money for Terrence Higgins Trust. I'll let you know how I get on... Rachel
