<p>Hiya,</p> <p>I've run Cancer Research UK's Race for Life a number of times over the years, but have this year decided to run in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.&nbsp;</p> <p>Although Cancer Research UK is a fantastic charity that works to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, I'd like to raise some money for a charity that is dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by cancer; not just the patients, but the carers, families and communities also.&nbsp;As treatments improve, more and more people are living with cancer in their daily lives. This means they need more than medical help, they also need practical, emotional and financial support. More than one in three people will get cancer at some point in their lives.</p> <p>This year's run is also a bit tougher in that it's 10k as opposed to 5k!
