Welcome to our fundraising page in memory of our baby, Rafael Elias Goater.

At the 20 week scan we learned the devastating news that our baby was suffering from a severe form of both Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus and would not survive.

At this difficult time it was hard to find answers and information on these conditions.  ASBAH (Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus) provided both.

ASBAH also supports research into the nature, causes, prevention and treatment of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.

We wish to support this charity so that others affected by these conditions continue to get the invaluable understanding and support that they need.  Our hope is that through supporting work on the understanding and prevention of these conditions, our loss will not have been in vain.
