Story
After helping lots of people raise lots of money for some excellent charities recently (LandyRally & Abingdon 4x4 Show), it's time to raise some of my own...
In mid-October, I'm going to cycle, on my mountain bike, from London to Paris in just two days. Most people take at least three, use a much more road-orientated bike and go when the weather is likely to be better, but hey if I took the easy route you wouldn't be about to dig as deep!
The charity I'm raising money for is Ordinary 2 Extraordinary who have the fabulous notion that people with the ability should get off their backsides and actually do something in order to help children that don't have the luxury of choosing to abstain.
In turn, O2e are supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation (who grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses) and Disability Challengers (who enable children to challenge their impairments through Play in a stimulating and safe environment). Both are UK charities and very worthwhile causes I'm sure you'll agree.
It's going to cost me £250 to do this event (including ferries, accommodation, return journey etc. but excluding any bike related bits) so I've set my target at 10x that amount. I don't see why I should give my backside so much grief for any less!
So please, make a generous donation right now via this site (which is simple, fast and totally secure) or contact me if you'd like to use more traditional methods.
Many thanks for your support.
