Thankyou for all your cheers and support! It was an amazing day, the crowd totally carries you along
I got my official certificate from Guiness presented on This Morning on Monday. My official time is 8 hours 25 mins! It was long & hard but totally worth it, the cheers from the crowds & all the runners carried me through, even when I finished there were still loads of people around to cheer me through the finish line!
I was supported throughout the day by my parents John & Jackie, my sister Samantha and her friend Cassie & 4 of my friends who were my 'support team' and cheering squad Nicola, Sarah, Rick & steven as well as Sam & Andy. They were amazing support and are suffering too as they walked at least 14 miles of the course if not more with me.
As well as catching me & picking me up when I fell over at 22 miles!
But it was all good, would've liked better weather! Got soaked & frozen in the rain & hail, and am now suffering from a stiff hip and a blister that covers the complete back of my heel!
But definitly loved the experience and am up for doign it again!
My current total raised is £7200 and rising! So please feel free to donate still! £5000 of which was donated by BT. This is a donation I kept quiet. On Feb 21st I was invited to attend an event at the BT Post Tower in London where I recieved a cheque for my charity of £5000!!! It was through a scheme where employees nominate charities, and my Dads efforts advertising me worked. So big thankyou for that.
Dont worry I am considering next year, or topping what I've done.... when I finished it was a definitly NO! But now its turned to a maybe! xxx
