Story

Muli Bwanje,

In April 2011 - just before Dave heads to Malawi to take part in Challenge Mulanje Two, Dave is running the Virgin London Marathon.

Why?

Schools in Malawi are pretty shocking. And in the quest to give FOMO orphans the best in education to escape poverty and build better lives for themselves, FOMO are building a school.

Dave, who has never run a marathon before (although he once ran for a bus back in the 1980's) has decided to push mind and body with the aim to raise all the funds necessary to build and run the FOMO school!

FOMO cares for 5,500 orphans in the Southern most district of Malawi, MULANJE. It is a beautiful area with Mount Mulanje within it. Here FOMO operates 13 daycare centres, a HIV clinic, a driving school, a tailoring school, maize mills etc. The families in this area are poor farmers. They can ill afford to send the children they care for to decent schools, if at all. As a result children fall behind end up repeating years in terribly equiped, run down school buildings. The orphans of Mulanje deserve better and this fund will help them achieve this.

Please support generously and please remember to check the 'gift aid' box.

If you were thinking of donating £10, please donate £20. If you were thinking of donating £20, please donate £40. If you were thinking of donating £100, please donate £200 etc. A small amount to the Western World makes a huge difference in Malawi.

Every penny raised will go to help FOMO build a better future for FOMO orphans - This UK charity has no UK paid staff, it is run totally by volunteers! And remember Dave will be running 26.2 miles, not a walk in the park for anyone

Thank-you
