Thanks to all the hardwork of the fundraising team in the St Helens area, spearheaded by Margaret Tipping and Mary Meeghan, the magnificent 999 appeal kindly sanctioned by Father Melly at Portico Church, The Irish Dancers, St Julies Developing World, The Justice and Peace Group, Woodend Nursery and Rob, it has now been possible to purchase a sturdy 4 x 4 vehicle. This was searched for and bought in South Africa, driven back to Malawi, converted and fitted out in Mulanje. It is now ready for use round the villages containing the 13 centres run by FOMO for the 5,500 orphans cared for.  The total cost of this was £25940.00.

The balance of £6950.00 is to be used for further equipment for the FOMO Clinic and the fund to be continued for running costs and for the purchase of an incinerator, needed by the clinic.
