Sitting on the beach drinking a beer absorbing the view and thinking there must be more to life then this ??? (Must have been drunk)

Ever thought WoW!!  that seems like good fun but too dangerous or maybe too expensive or maybe having the bottle or just daft enough to just do it  !!!!!!

Well it all started whilst having a beer when some bright spark said "fancy doing the Mongol Rally next year". The rest is history as they say.

So what is the Mighty Mongol Rally ????

It's an adventure and in the process raise cash for people less fortunate than you an me.  Have a look at http://mongolrally.theadventurists.com/

We will be leaving on 18th July 2009 from Hyde Park, London and drive to Mongolia.  We will be traveling in a clapped out VW Polo powered by a donkey stolen from Skegyy beach.  We have also taken into account that 2 highly trianed car mechanics and expert road map readers will be at the helm.

We will be traveling through Europe down to Turkey.  From here we head towards Eye-Rann (to you and me Iran), then from the hot deserts of Iran into the wilderness of the Borat countries.

Apparantly the Bandits are "not very nyice" people and  "thay duon't lyke u warry mooch".  But as we will be wearing our Borat swimming costumes it should be "verry nyice".

From here we head towards towards the Siberian desert in Russia.  Cold, wet, windy thats just in the car, we make our way towards Ulaan Baatar (history lesson) the capital of Mongolia.  Here we say good bye to the donkey powered Polo which is auctioned, and the money raised from selling the car goes to charity.

We then try to get back home.  How, we're not fully sure, yet !!!

The journey will take us around 4 weeks, in which time we would have travelled through 17 different countries, some friendly, some not so friendly, clocking up around 10,000 + miles in the process.

So why are we doing this...

The truth, an adventure like no other.  Whilst having fun, we intend to raise a bucket full of cash for our chosen charities.  For the people who are not so fortunate as you and me.

WE WILL BE FUNDING OUR OWN EXPENSES, ALL MONEY MONEY RAISED WILL BE SENT TO THE DESIGNATED CHARITIES

The Charities....

Christina Nobel childrens Foundation ( www.cnf.org )

Leukaemia Research (www.lrf.org.uk)

MercyCorps ( www.mercycorps.org.uk )

Walking with Giants foundation ( www.walkin wit giants.com )

What Can you do to help....

All we want from you is your money, so dig deep into your pockets and get your wallet out and work the generous side of you to the max, by giving as much as you can.  We are sacrificing more than 4 weeks of our time and our expenses, and all we ask from you is you give as much as you can as we are all doing this for a worth will cause.

So Please generaously, as every bit helps...Thank You Kindly !!!
