Arctic Scally Rally 2009 · 5 June 2009

We’re your local hospice, supporting people with life-limiting illness across Cheshire West and Deeside. Our care is free, but only possible thanks to your support. We’re not part of the NHS and rely on local generosity to keep going. By donating, you ensure vital care lives on in your community.

Story

On the morning of 7th August 2009, Team "Thunderprats" will take their place as part of a 100 car line-up on the sea-front boulevard in Den Haag, Holland - all patiently waiting on the start line of the Arctic Scally Rally 2009 - "The most demanding route in Scally Rally history".

After starters orders are given, our team will spend the next 5 days navigating the roads of Holland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, with the sole aim of crossing the finish line in the Arctic Circle - 2.500 miles away from where we will start our journey.

Oh, and the rule of the rally - The entire journey must be completed in a vehicle that costs us £100 or less.

We are taking part in this challenge with the aim of raising money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd (Charity Registration No 515516).

The Hospice exists to provide highly specialised palliative care for people living with advanced diseases from the communities of Chester, Deeside, Ellesmere Port and Rural Cheshire.

We aim to raise a total of £2,500 - that's £1 for each mile of our journey.

Please help us in our quest to raise money for this worthwhile cause by sponsoring our team.
