Story
For those of you who don't know us, we are Ralph Evans, and Tom Glen, two village boys who decided to do something worthwhile with our uni summer break.
Our aim is to successfully drive an ambulance 10,000 miles to Mongolia, raise £1,500 for charity, and live to tell the tale. How hard can it be...?
Having realised that it won't be too long before we have to grow up and join the real world, we decided to make the most of our long summer holidays, and do something a bit different.
In summer 2012 we will be driving to Mongolia in an ambulance, to try and raise some cash for a worthy cause or two, and provide a Mongolian hospital with a much needed emergency frontline vehicle.
Starting in London, we will be driving the best part of 10,000 miles through deserts, mountains, and some of the most remote terrain on the planet to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The money raised will be going to a UK charity called GoHelp (http://gohelp.org.uk/), who work with communities in central Asia to improve access to education and healthcare. They are running a number of projects at the moment, providing ambulances, books, child protection services, and riding helmets. GoHelp also co-operate closely with, and support Save The Children (http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/en/mongolia.htm), so it's a really good cause!
You can also donate via text message, simply text RTDM99 followed by either £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070. For instance, if you wanted to donate £2, the message would read RTDM99 £2. The text message will only cost you the amount you donate, and 100% of that will go to GoHelp. Please ask the bill payer's permission before you donate.
Any money donated through our JustGiving page goes directly to GoHelp, and will be put towards our fundraising target of £1,500 (please Gift Aid your donation if you can, as the charity will get a nice juicy bonus from the taxman!).
