My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

On 23rd September 2006 I had a bad accident while surfing at my home beach of Croyde Bay. I broke my neck and was lucky to survive and escape without serious spinal injury. Thanks to the surgeons who operated on me and the physiotherapists who have treated me, I am now able to surf again. I am acutely aware of how lucky I am to not be paralysed and to be able to continue an active life.

I now feel duty bound to help in some way others who have limited mobility and who are less fortunate then me. As I know Dave Constantine, who I believe started this charity, Motivation was a natural choice for me to 'do my bit'.

I am going to enter the paddle board race and am asking people to sponsor me for the event. For those who dont know about this event its a 2.5km paddle from Saunton beach around the Point and onto Croyde beach as part of the Goldcoast Oceanfest festival 2009. last year we raised over £1000 from the sponsored paddle - thanks to all those who gave me support and encouragement!

Whatever amount you can give will help me to help a noble cause. Thank you very much for your donation.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Motivation Charitable Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
