Each year, thousands of kidney patients die unnecessarily in countries like Pakistan. Most didn't even know they had kidney failure. Of those that are diagnosed, most either can't get to a kidney dialysis centre or can't afford the treatment and they simply die.

Since 1998, The Noor Foundation UK has set up 18 free kidney dialysis centres across the length and breadth of Pakistan. Before the Noor Foundation began its lifesaving work in Pakistan, patients would have to travel to the main cities, journeying perhaps for hours to receive dialysis. Almost all our centres are situated in remote and rural areas, where 65% of the population actually live.

We administer almost 6,000 dialyses each month, enabling the poor to have access to totally free dialysis treatment.

- £24 will enable us to give a weeks free dialysis treatment
- £100 will sponsor dialysis treatment for a month
- £1,200 will sponsor a deserving patients dialysis treatment for a whole year

Reasons to donate

- There are is no National Health Service in Pakistan
- The yearly cost of dialysis at private clinics is 10 times the average annual wage of £300
- It is estimated that the vast majority of patients stop treatment or die within three months due to cost constraints
- It is estimated that that there are 10 million adults in Pakistan alone with kidney disease
- Each centre is built in a Government hospital so none of your donations are spent on construction, electricity or staff
- The Noor Foundation UK does not spend any money on marketing, administration, travel or other expenses
