We provide life-changing support for children who have lost limbs through war, accidents, and lack of access to medical care. ELoH provides new limbs, surgery, education, and advocacy for the world's most vulnerable amputees. We believe all child amputees deserve to live a happy and healthy life.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

All donations go to Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope, the charities objectives are to improve the lives of limbless children in less developed countries by providing or assisting in the provision of prosthetics, when not normally provided by the statutory authorities.

With the help of donations they have provided over 4,800 child amputees in the developing world with a new leg.

Just £30 donated will pay for a prosthetic foot.  This makes all the difference for a child who doesn't have to watch the world go by, but can actually take part in it.

My sisters and I have started this page in memory of our father, his right ankle and heel was injured by a bolt and his left leg was amputated below the knee in an accident at work, he was an iron slinger building the iron girders that support the bridges on the M6 motorway he was 30 years old.  Before his accident he would walk to work a 4 mile journey from Darlaston to West Bromwich in the early hours of the morning in the snow when buses were not running and only a few people had cars in those days.

My dad had five daughters in total, three of us were born after dads accident so we never knew what dad was like without a prosthetic limb.  He was very active before the accident, he was always on the go even afterwards although it was not as easy, he loved working in the house building/decorating whatever he could and gardening was his passion. He would never sit still and because he was so active people he would meet for the first time would never realise he was an amputee.  This was all thanks to his prosthetic limb, it gave dad the motivation and determination to never stop, never give in and never give up.

All the pictures on this page are of dad after the accident, he was a unique individual, a one of a kind.  He was very special in everyway,  a man with a sense of humour who enjoyed a good laugh and quite naturally made people around him laugh.  Mum has always said he was the most hardworking husband any wife could ever wish for.  As his children we are blessed to have had a father as great as him, he showed us that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

He was the best dad in the world, caring, loving, dedicated, when we were younger mum went to work after dads accident so dad stayed at home feeding us, changing the nappies, washing our clothes and ironing them, cooking for us, dressing us, plating our hair and walking with us to school. These are just some of the few things he has done for us, all of this whilst wearing a prosthetic limb.

We can truly say he is our Hero, our SuperMan, our SuperDad.

Thank you Papa for everything, we love you and miss you everyday.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Your donations will make a big difference to someones life.
