<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p>
<p>In September 2012 I am taking on the challenge of climbing Mt Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa standing at 5,895 metres above sea level. I am taking on this six day trek not only for the challenge and experience, but in order to raise money for a good cause. <br><br>Meningitis Research Foundation's vision is a world free from meningitis and septicaemia.</p>
<p>Aims:<br><strong> Research</strong> into the causes and treatment of all forms of meningitis.<br><strong> Education</strong> of the public in the causes, treatment and prevention of meningitis.<br><strong> Help </strong>relieve the distress to individuals and families caused by death and damage through meningitis.</p>
<p>Anyone can get meningitis or septicaemia, but age is one of the main risk factors.<br><span style="color: #ff0000;">Babies </span><span style="color: #000000;">are at the highest risk and </span><span style="color: #ff0000;">Toddlers <span style="color: #000000;">are also at increased risk.<br></span></span><span style="color: #ff9900;">Teenagers <span style="color: #000000;">and <span style="color: #ff9900;">Young Adults <span style="color: #000000;">are mainly at risk from <span style="color: #ff0000;">meningococcal disease.</span></span></span></span></span> </p>
<p>It is important to know that you can get meningitis or septicaemia at <strong>ANY</strong> time of your life.</p>
