About the charity:

The Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre provides holidays for children from Derbyshire at its Centre in Skegness. This it has done since 1891.  These children’s lives are such that they will benefit from a change to and respite from their daily lives.  The holidays can also provide much needed respite to the childrens’ parents, guardians and carers. The Trust is tasked, this year, with raising £185,000.00 to provide holidays for 450 children in the 2013 holiday programme; all of which has to be raised from donors in the community.
