Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
As you all know I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in September 2007. Since I shall have shortly retired I now have the time and opportunity to give something back for all of the support I have received from the Society. Watching my son in the 2009 London Marathon and seeing the vast number of charities that benefited from the event gave me the inspiration and stupidity to run in this years event.
News Flash !!! Ray ( Old Shaky ) has been told owing to a replacement hip problem he should not be running long disances and therefore has been advised to withdraw from the marathon. Stupidity must run in the family as, having started off as his traiining partner, I ( Jan , his wife ) have now decided to take his position on the starting line. This is quite a challenge for a 'girl' that in the past had only run for the bus !!! My replacing Ray has obviously been approved by PDS.
Therefore WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT. PLEASE GIVE SOME OF YOUR HARD EARNED CASH TO A GOOD CAUSE. Ray will become our official fund raiser so you can look forward to the ongoing pestering.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Parkinson's Disease Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Best Regards
Jan
