I am running the London Marathon on April 26 2009 & hoping to raise as much as I can for KAB.
KAB is a voluntary service and provides various aspects of training and support to people who are blind, deafblind or partially-sighted in Kent, Medway and the London Boroughs of Bromley & Bexley. KAB also provides a free and comprehensive rehabilitation service for people of all ages with any level of visual impairment, from children born with visual impairment to those whose sight is failing due to age or macular degeneration.
Fund raised will help KAB to continue this valuable service & training. Please visit the website at www.kab.org.uk
I am really looking forward to the challenge of running the London Marathon this year – I have run several marathon’s over the years – I ran my first in 1985 and that seems a long time ago now. I enjoy the challenge that the training brings - it certainly does not get any easier as you get older as I am finding out with a few more aches & pains. But that is no problem as the most important thing is raising funds for a worthy cause. I have no real time target in mind but want to enjoy the day and the special atmosphere the London Marathon brings.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure.
Helping your donation go further - don’t forget gift aid! By doing this you will enable KAB to receive an additional 28p (for every pound you give) from the Inland Revenue.
It costs nothing to you, the donor, for KAB to benefit from this government scheme
I am really grateful for your support. Many thanks
Ray
