As the first two members of the Reckitt Benckiser's Healthcare Team to join the Save the Children Global Challenge, Rick Powers and I are excited for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  Save the Children doesn't mess around: they come right out and state that they are outraged that millions of children are denied proper healthcare, food, education and protection.  As the leading independent organization creating real and lasting change for children, Save the Children spent 90% of all expenditures in 2007 on program services. 

In May 2009, we will embark on a trek in the Ladakh region of the Himalayas in Northern India.  Our destination is a village where Save the Children has several thriving programs for children and families.  Your sponsorship will help Save the Children continue their efforts to improve the lives of children who are struggling with basic needs all around the world.
