UPDATE: I did it, trundling in at 4 hours 46 mins, not bad I thought on a dodgy knee and without being able to train properly for the last few weeks, and I'm quite proud of the fact that I didn't walk at all.
I'll be dropping a line to everyone who has donated soon, but for now, thank you again: the generosity of everyone has been overwhelming, particularly from those who don't know me - it really shows how much Julian is missed.

On 26 April 09 I'll be running the London marathon. I'm doing it in memory of my godfather, Julian MacAndrews, who died of Leukaemia in 2006, and as a result want to raise money for the Elimination of Leukaemia Fund.
ELF has been helping to advance the cure and treatment of leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and myelodiasplasia for more than 30 years. ELF stands out as a leading blood cancer charity because it concentrates on patient centred work, supporting projects that have an immediate benefit to patients and the treatment and cure of their leukaemia, Hodgkin’s and other lymphomas, myeloma and myelodysplasia
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: ELF gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Please pledge what you can.
