Story

*UPDATE*

The run is now completed with all five of us finishing in good times considering the unseasonably hot conditions!  Jeremy led the field with a time of c. 2hrs, then Paul with 2hrs 4 mins, Jamie with 2hrs 6, Sasha 2hrs 8 and Alex 2hrs 24.  we are all suffering aches and pains to various degrees and I have to say, it was a tough run which I shall NOT be repeating anytime soon.

Thank you for your contribution and support, it makes all the difference to REACH

Paul

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.  Paul, Jeremy, Jamie and Alex from Kew Green Hotels and Sacha from M&S (nice undies Sacha!) have been in further training to run the Royal Parks Half marathon following the successful completion of the 10k run in July.

We have been training in earnest to get up to the 21k level required for this and believe me, its a lot further than you think.  Alex, Sacha and Paul have never run this distance so have been putting in the miles to shed weight and get fit.  Jamie and Jeremy have been drinking beer so the rest of us get a sporting chance of not suffering complete humiliation.

We are running for REACH again.  REACH is a charity which helps families of children born with an upper arm/hand deficiency by providing practical advice, help and in some cases financial support (to help families purchase things like one handed recorders) to help them participate in normal childhood activities.  As you may know, Paul's son, Dan, was born without a left arm and we are heavily involved in its work.  It is funded purely from fund raising and donations so please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Reach gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

This is a big deal for all of us but we are really looking forward to the big race.  thanks for your support !
