UPDATE: 11/5/2009
The whole team completed the walk on Saturday finishing after 12 and a half hours at around 8.45pm! All sorts of ankle and foot injuries and most of the team did an extra and completely unintentional 4 kms just for good measure. A very enjoyable event though (as long as you don't mind a fair bit of pain along the way) and the more foolhardy amongst us are already talking about signing up for next year!!!

We're taking part in the Just Walk 2009 charity walk on 9 May 2009 and are going to try to complete the longest route - 60 kilometres - far further than most of us have ever walked in one go! It will also involve getting up at the weekend far earlier than most of us have done for some time.
We are supporting three charities in roughly equal proportions:

| Children with Leukaemia |
| Parkinson’s Disease Society |
Because Autism Speaks has kindly agreed to act as the lead charity and to collect the money raised on behalf of all three charities and then redistribute it subsequently they are getting a slightly higher share of the proceeds at 40% with each of the other two charities each getting 30% of what we raise.
