Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In Jan 2010 Alex and I had our 5th child, at 12 wks old she had her first blood transfusion - she had 18 before she had even had her 2nd birthday.

Reagan has diamond blackfan anaemia (DBA) her bone marrow cannot make red blood cells - essential to keep us alive. Until she was 2 years old she recieved monthly transfusions, since then she has been trialling steroids and has for the first time in her life been free of transfusions for longer than ever before!

There are only 125 known cases of DBA in the UK and no cure.

Myself, Alex and 10 others will be running in the Fleet half marathon on 25th March to help raise vital funds and awareness for this life threatening condition.

So if you've come this far I guess youve donnated, for which we are very greatful, on behalf of Reagan and her DBA family we thank you very much indeed.

Our team have trained very hard for this event, it takes hard work and determination, (not to mention the odd blister and muscle ache!!) Alex and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their dedication and generosity.

And lastly.......we need all the support we can get, so please come along on the day and cheer us on!!!!
