Hi,
On the 14th June I am running 10k. This has been quite a last minute decision so please support me! There are 2 main reasons I am doing this:
1) I would like to run the marathon next year and this is a good warm up.
2) Sam's mum run's a charity called Anim-Mates and she is very closely affiliated with Billy who runs The Retreat Animal Rescue. A couple of months ago Sam and I fostered a dog called Amy who had been badly abused. Her owners had tried to get her to fight other dogs and she was covered in scars where she had been beaten. However she was so placid she refused to fight; at which point the owners told some children on the street that unless they took the dog he would kill her. Sam's mum took the dog in and made sure she was safe. This is just one of hundreds of animals that she and Billy help!
