Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online if nothing else it will make you feel better and give you a chance to offer support or other comments below..........   The ABF does countless good works for ex servicemen and their families, see their website for a few examples, if you're serving you can only reap what you sow, if your not support those who ensure your way of life, either way get your cash out and start giving..........

Hard to believe that with only 8 weeks notice I am mad enough to agree to run 26.2 miles just for fun.   Just goes to show that age and wisdom do not go hand in hand.   Keep revisiting this site to check on my progress.   At the moment had a couple of good runs and sure the horse riding round Hyde Park must be doing me some good.    Water intake is up and most vices have stopped.   Already looking forward to 23rd Apr and a few beers in a local hostelry while my legs realise that the runnings over!

With six weeks to go training is going well with 12 miles on Wed at a good pace improving my moral.   Aiming to do a combination of Cardio and distance work with long runs on Wed and Sat.   Just hope the feet harden up a bit before the big day.

With three weeks to go starting to think perhaps I am too old for this, mileage is going up and sure I will be okay on the day.   If you spot running number 51935 out there give me a shout sure I'll need the encouragement.

It will be fancy dress on the day so open to suggestions backed up with sponsorship (No Diving suits or carrying weights please!) In keeping with the day I will be running as St George.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Army Benevolent Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

All sponsors who are at the finish line on the 23rd April I will gladly get the first round in!

Many thanks for your support.
