I will be running in the Great North Run in Newcastle coming September (a half marathon). Since this event is very popular the only way to participate was by raising money for a good cause.

I have joined the Newcastle University team and half of the money raised will therefore be sent to the Jubilee Dept Campain, for its work to reduce global poverty by the cancellation of unpayable debt, by a fair and transparent procedure that ensures the good use of the resources freed up. The other half of the money will go the the charity of my personal choice, Oxfam, for their work with HIV/AIDS and AIDS orphans.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Oxfam and the Jubilee Debt Campaign get your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
