Remembering Lanfranco Gaglione

Just over a year ago, we all lost a dear friend in Lanfranco Gaglione. His positivity, genuine kindness and infectious enthusiasm are all things that make his sudden and preventable death all the more upsetting to those that had the good fortune to have met him. 

Last year, our running team (Lan’s Legends) raised over £4000 for the charity 'CALM' (Campaign Against Living Miserably). We thought it a fitting tribute to Lan to repeate this process again - so we will be taking part in our second 10k run in Regent’s Park on Sunday 5 May 2013. Any donations would be most appreciated :)

On the 5th of May, my friends and I will be running 10k in Regent's Park in memory of our old buddy Lan, who sadly passed away last year.

I'm trying to raise money for the charity CALM, whose aim is to reduce the high suicide rate amongst men under 35, currently the single biggest killer of young men in the UK.

So if you're feeling a little weighed down by cash and are looking to offload some, whilst doing a bloody good deed in the process, I'd be very grateful indeed :)

Just over a year ago our dear friend Lan ended his own life and we are still trying to come to terms with it, finding no satisfying answer to the question...why?

We are doing this 10k in his memory and would be so grateful if you could sponsor us. I know times are hard for all of us right now but if you can give whatever you can afford so that CALM can continue their vital work it will mean that you will be helping to prevent other senseless wastes of life and maybe some good can come from this tragedy. 

Lan was a wonderful, kind, genuine and loving person - the world is a worse place because he is not in it any more. Please help us to raise awareness about CALM so they can reach the people who need them most before it's too late for another young man.

Never before has a nickname ‘The Legend’ been so applicable.

In memory of The Legend, we will be repeating last year’s fund-raising effort for the charity CALM.

Our running team (Lan’s Legends) will be taking part in our second 10k run in Regent’s Park on Sunday 5 May 2013. We eagerly welcome anybody who would like to get involved in the run, or who just wants to come along and show their support. I’m sure everyone will agree that this is a worthwhile cause, so we appreciate any donations possible.

On the 3rd of June, my friends and I will be running 10k in Regent's Park in memory of our old buddy Lan, who sadly passed earlier this year.

I'm trying to raise money for the charity CALM, whose aim is to reduce the high suicide rate amongst men under 35, currently the single biggest killer of young men in the UK.

If you do find yourself to be in possession of a few too many pennies and are feeling generous, I will love you long time. You should also know that whilst 10k is not quite the London marathon, I am the most unfit person alive and it will no doubt cause me some serious pain, so you are getting excellent value for money :)
