Dennis was a wonderful man, warm always giving with his time and a brilliant kids football coach. I took my two little boys to him when they were 4 years old, every Saturday morning for about 8 years where he taught them skills with patience and care in the Autumn sunshine at Wapping sports centre. Jake, Joe Kathy and I will never forget.
In addiion to these skills he spent the last 15 years of his life rasing money for Macmillans and Cancer research by running Marathon's all over the world after his brother had died fom cancer. Ironically he needed their help himself.
If he had lived he would have run with the Olympic torch between Stratford and Mile End. Sadly he wasn't their to do it and it was while we watched his daughter run that section in his place that I decided that I would do this charity bike ride (my first) in his memory for the charities he could no longer support. Please give what you can.
